A Day in York
A day in York with Claire. A very enjoyable day as we wandered round a few part of York, showing off my home town! I was nervous before we met up and Claire had arrived in York much earlier than we’d planned.
Coffee in York station and a brief exchange of gifts. Claire bought me the Bill Bryson book Down Under, a book I’d read but didn’t own. I gave her the koala I bought in Australia.
We walked out through the station and round to the Museum Gardens and then through my old school, Bootham (fortunately quiet it being a Saturday).
Lunch at Café Rouge and onwards through the Shambles. Claire’s seen some of York before but not much.
My life has taken a serious upturn. I am now with someone who I always wanted to be with. Claire is perfect in every way. We’ve been able to talk for hours and now I’ve finally met her I’m happier than I’ve ever been.
All my waking time is spent thinking about her. I dream about her. I talk to her. Nothing else matters.
