Flying
Was up at 5.30am after about 1 hours sleep. In the air again. This time to Dulles Airport, Washington DC. Finally get to go and see Matt and Melissa, assuming that is if the US customs let me in.
Films aren’t up to much on the flight. Started on the Manchurian Candidate, the new one with Denzel Washington. Gave up on that and moved onto Bourne Supremecy. The good thing about the BMI flights is they have Goon Shows on the comedy channel (Dishonoured).
Waited for an hour and a half to check in. Bit of a queue. Didn’t have any time for shopping. Got a text from Howard just as I was about to board.
Right now I can’t explain how good it feels to be flying somewhere. Escape from the mundane everyday world, going somewhere new. This trip is more about seeing Matt and Melissa than anything. There are some minor plans for sight-seeing and tourist stuff but just being with friends again makes it all exciting.
I’d forgotten how much I love travel.
