Saturday Nights out in Sydney

A weekend of barbecues and ANZAC weekend is mixed in with a trip with Viv and Toby to the Brett Whiteley Studio in Surrey Hills. A great day out of poetry and art. Well, the art was good. Had a great Monday and then went up Sydney Tower for some good views of eastern Sydney and some bloody crap ones of Jackson Harbour and the eastern side of Sydney.

A few quiet days with a bad knee before heading off for a day at the NSW Art Gallery. Some interesting evenings watching arguments from across the street and generally doing little else because of the knee.

Beer, Birthdays and Strippers

Beer, Birthdays and Strippers

Saturday night and Alex and the German Girl share a birthday so its party night. Time for beer, cake and a long winded pub crawl through Sydney never quite ending up where we planned to go. This is why I’m still in Sydney. It’s fun! Ended the night chatting with a stripper in Porky’s strip club and brothel.

Days in Sydney

Days in Sydney

The relaxation and settling into patterns in Sydney are now grating a little. Part of me wants to move on but right now I feel comfortable here. I’m enjoying it. The hostel has been great, some fun people. Been in some pain since falling over. My hip feels sore and the pain is subsiding so I shouldn’t need a trip to somewhere medical.

Nights out, more beer and more time spent on Darlinghurst Road. The mix of late nights and football is fun and giving me a chance to just relax and enjoy the time here. I felt like I needed a break from “things” so a week or so of doing nothing is helping the soul and recharging the batteries a little. Thinking of now moving on from Sydney.
