Beer and Parma

Such a fun weekend! Albert Park was abuzz with the sound of F1 cars zooming round. I had a day up in the Rialto Observation Deck again to see Albert Park in all its F1 glory. A great racetrack that looks good from very high up. As a small recommendation to anyone in Melbourne during the Melbourne Grand Prix then go up the Rialto Observation Deck and check out Albert Park.

The past few days were spent out and about. One night out in Melbourne, enjoying the glory of the Chicken Parma at The Pinnacle in Fitzroy. This is the classic Parmigiana done Aussie style. Best found in pubs and enjoyed with cold beer. The Parma uses a perfect chicken breast, a tomato sauce, ham and melted cheese layered on a bed of chips.

Some people cheat and use a tomato sauce from an Italian spaghetti sauce but the best are home (or pub) made. Salad is optional as are extra chips.

Felt a bit rough after that night, probably due to a little too much Carlton Draught.

Back down to Mornington and a weekend away at the McIver farm for a wedding anniversary. More good food and excellent company and way too much beer.

Now working on getting to Sydney, looks like it will be the overnight Greyhound again. The joys of an overnight bus, occasional stops and no sleep what so ever!
