Bondi and Bondi Beach
Bondi finally became a public beach in 1882 after originally being privately owned. Now home to more tourists, usually drawn by the international fame of the beach, it’s surfing pleasures from numerous rips, a shared shark net and a vast amount of naked flesh on display. Bondi Beach also hosts the annual Miss Bondi competition, with some excellent prizes and the chance of a good future in modelling for the winner. Mostly though Bondi is about surfing.
