A bit more of Adelaide

Sunday morning in Adelaide. Having arrived early on the overnight Greyhound Adelaide was peaceful and quiet which was an ideal time to have a walk around and enjoy returning to the fine little city in Australia.

Melbourne Museum

Melbourne Museum

A day at the Melbourne Museum, learning a little more about the history of Melbourne and the Aboriginals who have lived here much longer.

Around the edges of Melbourne

Using the City Circle to get around the edges of Melbourne’s city. Along Spring St with the City Museum and State Parliament buildings, down the State Library and around the fun the Yarra River.

Melbourne from Even Higher Up

Rialto Tower is good but Eureka Tower is taller and newer. This provides great vistas of Melbourne from all angles.

Further on Up

Further on Up

Taking a ride up Eureka Tower to Skydeck 88 to view Melbourne from very high up. Skydeck is taller than Rialto and gives some impressive views of Melbourne.

Bits of St Kilda

Wandering around St Kilda on a lovely summer’s day. Coming down from the city on the tram and walking along the sea front from the Catani Gardens, along the beach and passing the Sea Baths and Luna Park.

Fitzroy Gardens and Captain Cook’s Cottage

Fitzroy Gardens is one of Melbourne’s oldest and most beautiful areas. Home to the moved and rebuilt cottage formerly belonging to Captain James Cook, a very pleasant morning can be spent in Fitzroy Gardens.

Meandering Around Melbourne

Meandering Around Melbourne

Exploring parts of Melbourne I have yet to really see, cruising round the edges of the city on the free City Circle Tram, spending the morning in Fitzroy Gardens, seeing Captain Cook’s Cottage and heading on over to Spring St at the top of the hill.
