Daylesford Weddings

And so we all congregated in Daylesford, a lovely spa town in Victoria, for the wedding of Katrina and Howard. It was one of the most enjoyable times I’ve in Australia.

Originally called Wombat the town’s name was changed after a year to Daylesford and was a gold mining town back in the 1850s, the great Victoria gold rush of the time spread far and wide and while neighbours Ballarat and Bendigo have become synonymous with the gold Daylesford and Hepburn Springs morphed into a spa resort since the waters here are just that good.

Staying in the excellent Queensberry Springs Villas and enjoying the local fish and chip shop, Daylesford Hotel and the Convent. Probably enjoying it all too much due to a distinct lack of photos!
