Melbourne from Even Higher Up

With construction on Eureka Tower being completed in 2006 the new Skydeck opened to give the good people of Melbourne another vantage point to see the city from very high up.

Eureka Tower is named after the infamous Eureka Stockade in 1854. The tower is 297 metres tall with 91 storeys of which 84 storeys are residential apartments. The top 10 floors have 24 carat glass windows while the top 5 residential floors only contain one apartment which were originally sold at around AU$7m each.

Floor 88 contains the Skydeck, with views all around the city of Melbourne and (on good days) the surrounding areas and mountain ranges.

Hanging around and enjoying lunch in Southbank under the gaze of Eureka Tower is always a good plan.
