Bears in London

Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning in London on the weekend of the NFL International Series. It may have been a Bucs home game but the native Bears fans were outnumbering the Bucs fans. Those of us with a neutral bent generally supported the home team.

The fan rally in Trafalgar Square has its up and down. Seeing the likes of Richard Dent or Jerome Bettis interviewed being one of the major ups. Previous London NFL games have focused almost solely on the home team, this year it became a more enjoyable mix of Bucs and Bears. The Bears drumline did their thing, the Bucs cheerleaders did theirs. The majority of the Bears fans wore 54. Brian Urlacher was shown more love than the rest of his team mates put together.

A Sunday morning walk along the Embankment was followed with a closer look at the Battle of Britain memorial and coffee and brunch by Charing Cross station.
