One of the the most popular names in Australia, given to streets, parks, a mountain range, a university and an island. Matthew Flinders is synonymous with the country. He was first to circumnavigate the whole country and survived imprisonment by the French. A great explorer and map maker, Matthew Flinders and his cat, Trim, are remembered all over Australia.
