A couple of days out in Victoria. Visiting the old Melbourne Gaol again and heading off on the train to Ballarat to visit the gold mine museum of Sovereign Hill.
Enter 1850s Victoria and discover just how gold changed the colony and made Victoria the place to be in the Sovereign Hill Gold Mine and Museum.
Step back in time and walk the road to the gallows in a 19th century prison. See where Ned Kelly was hanged. Old Melbourne Gaol is a piece of Melbourne’s history.
Back to Melbourne and back in the MCG for a day’s cricket between Australia and Pakistan in the Boxing Day Test at the MCG
Last day in Perth and the flight back to Melbourne to enjoy some cricket at the MCG.

Using the City Circle to get around the edges of Melbourne’s city. Along Spring St with the City Museum and State Parliament buildings, down the State Library and around the fun the Yarra River.
Rialto Tower is good but Eureka Tower is taller and newer. This provides great vistas of Melbourne from all angles.
Taking a ride up Eureka Tower to Skydeck 88 to view Melbourne from very high up. Skydeck is taller than Rialto and gives some impressive views of Melbourne.
